Metal structures and steel buildings in Cyprus

Beyond homes, we design and build permanent metal structures: storage and workshop buildings, garages and carports, canopies, agricultural and commercial frames. Light gauge or heavy structural steel, engineered for Cyprus and built with the right permits.

What we build

Typical projects include storage buildings and warehouses, workshops, garages and carports, covered canopies and pergola structures, agricultural buildings, and steel frames for commercial and hospitality buildings. If you have something else in mind, send us the brief — we will tell you honestly whether it fits our work.

Metal house or metal building — what is the difference?

A metal house (in Greek μεταλλική οικία) is a dwelling: insulated, finished and permitted as a home, with a title deed. A metal building or metal structure (μεταλλική κατασκευή) is any steel-framed building for other uses — storage, work, parking or business. They share the same engineering, but the permits, insulation and finishes differ.

Light gauge or heavy steel?

Light gauge steel suits smaller buildings, garages and annexes where low weight and speed matter. Heavy, structural steel — hot-rolled columns and beams — suits wide clear spans, tall buildings, cranes or heavy loads. Many structures combine a heavy steel frame with light steel secondary framing.

Engineering and permits

Every structure is designed by a structural engineer to the Cyprus building regulations and Eurocodes, including wind and seismic loads. Most permanent structures need planning permission and a building permit; we confirm what applies to your plot and use during the free review, and prepare the drawings and dossier.

How metal structures are priced

Size, span, loads, cladding and site conditions vary widely, so metal structures are quoted per project after a site visit. You receive a fixed-scope quote before work starts.

Metal structures — frequently asked questions

Do metal structures need a permit in Cyprus?

Most permanent structures need planning permission and a building permit. We confirm what applies to your plot and intended use during the free review.

How much does a metal building cost in Cyprus?

It is quoted per project after a site visit, because size, span, loads and cladding vary widely. You get a fixed-scope quote before work starts.

Light or heavy steel for my building?

Light gauge steel suits smaller buildings and annexes; heavy structural steel suits wide spans and heavy loads. Our engineer recommends the right system for your brief.

Can a metal building be converted into a home later?

Only with new permits for residential use and the insulation and finishes a home needs. If a home is the goal, it is usually better to design it as a home from the start.
